Pump for liquids, with reduced pressure fluctuation

The pump has three chambers, two of which are filled with hydraulic oil and connected to one another via a plate which can be opened. The third chamber is filled with gas and closed off by a slave piston. When hydraulic oil ebbs in the second chamber, the slave piston is displaced to an aperture which closes off the first chamber and opens it. The pump is especially suitable for combination with a free-floating piston in an internal combustion engine and makes it possible to dispense with complex and expensive regulating devices.
