<p>A high-speed and high-load cylinder device comprising sub-cylinder (2) having a smaller pressure receiving area and a main cylinder (3) having greater pressure receiving area disposed vertically on the same central axis and a piston (2a) in the sub-cylinder connected to a piston (3a) in the main cylinder via a piston rod (2b) of the sub-cylinder, diameter of the piston rod being smaller than that of a piston rod (3b) of the main cylinder, and a method for controlling the same comprising the steps of supplying pressure oil into an upper chamber (3c) and a lower chamber (3d) of the main cylinder to lower the piston at high speed by virtue of the difference in pressure receiving area between the two chambers, supplying pressure oil only into the upper chamber of the main cylinder to lower the piston under pressure, stopping the supply of pressure oil into the upper and lower chambers of the main cylinder and a lower chamber of the sub-cylinder to hold the piston under pressure, supplying pressure oil into the lower chamber of the sub-cylinder and the lower chamber of the main cylinder to raise the piston at low speed, and supplying pressure oil only into the lower chamber of the sub-cylinder to raise the piston at high speed.</p> |
