A voltage converter, in particular a flyback converter-switched-mode power supply, contains a digital regulating circuit (7) with a counter (21) whose count is compared to a digital comparison value (22) derived from the output voltage that needs to be regulated. A switching element (2) coupled to an inductive element (4) is driven by pulse width modulation depending on the result of the comparison and on a signal that indicates the demagnetisation state of the inductive element (4). Another comparison value with the counter generates a switching-on blockage of the switching element (2), thus reducing the switching frequency in the standby mode. |
