Adjustment of distance between slide reversibly driven by thrust rod and its drive

The adjustment device (10) consists of a piston-cylinder unit (34) between the slide (14) and the drive (20), with a cylinder housing (36) completely filled with fluid and divided into two chambers (40,42) by a piston (38) moving within it. The two chambers are connected to one another via a conduit (56) with a throughflow regulator. Power transmission from the drive to the slide occurs via the cylinder housing and the piston with a connecting rod (44). The throughflow regulator contains a throttle component (54) and a cut-out component (52). The piston can be centred in the cylinder housing by spring components (58). The thrust rod (24) has two part rods (48,50) whereby the free end of the first part rod is connected with the piston and the free end of the second part rod is connected with the cylinder housing.
