The method involves cooling a liquefier (4) using a frozen product. Air flows through holes in the associated door and in the plate of the liquefier. If a frozen cooled product is placed in the container, this thaws and the compressor (6) does not need to work so hard, since the cold product has already acquired part of the thermal output energy of the liquefier.
