The otherwise standard letter envelope rear side is provided for the front side. In the usual postage stamp area of the envelope an unperforated stretched film window is provided through which the postage stamp with its endorsement-stamp mark is visible on the letter paper. The film window may be incorporated in the envelope into a flap which has an adhesive coating and which is formed identically with the upper envelope sealing flap.
