Heavy metal removal in soil reclamation

摘要

A group of electrodes are spaced through the soil and with an applied DC field to move the atoms and ions of the heavy metals to the electrodes. The electric fields used are selected so as not to interfere with the biological processes. The DC fields are applied continuously for set periods spaced by time intervals. The power required can be generated on site by solar cells or wind generators. The electrodes can be supplemented by using metal pipes which inject the fluids for the biological processes.
