The hydraulic drive has at least one consumer. A pump drawing fluid from a tank serves the consumer. There is a pre-control device followed by a hydraulic path valve with flow control device and bypass channel. Another device sets the output pressure of the pump. There is a pressure switch-in valve (10) between the pump (3) and the next path valve (113) in the flow direction. The switch-in pressure of this valve is at least equal to the minimum required for the operation of the path valve. A line (11) branches off between the pump and the switch-in valve to serve the pre-control device.
