Lead cable extraction direction detector for mobile electric appliance

The extraction direction detector uses a pressure sensor associated with a guide opening (KD) for the lead cable at the rear of the appliance housing, for detecting the pressure exerted on the lead cable during its extraction. The pressure sensor is coupled to an evaluation device, for evaluating the obtained pressure signals to determine the extraction direction. The pressure sensor may be provided by a microswitch or a foil pressure sensor. The extraction direction indicated by the evaluation device may be used to control the subsequent movement of the appliance, so that the lead cable is not run over.
