The card has pliable upper and lower housing portions 1, 5 which, together with integral spacers 8, form cavities in which is disposed a flexible conductor plate 2 with circuit components 9, 10. So that the components are not mechanically stressed, a sliding surface or film 17, 18 is arranged between the housing portions and the conductor plate on which the components and the conductor plate slide on bending of the card. The sliding film may be Teflon (RTM) or polycarbonate.
