Mobile telephone rod-aerial system

The rod-aerial system includes an aerial on the microphone side of the handset which is arranged so that it is pointing downwards, i.e on the underside of the handset. The spacing to the head and particularly to the eye is considerably increased in this arrangement under the microphone, so the radiation health hazard is considerably reduced in comparison with known equipment.
