摘要 The micromirror display panel is formed by a micro-mechanical array of flap elements that are moved through an arc. The elements 11 are arranged in parallel lines and are formed in a membrane carrier plate. Each flap has two wings coupled by a centre bridging element and each wing deflects torsionally about the centre axis. The activation is produced by a transistor 60 based circuit that applies an excitation frequency signal between the flap and an electrode 6. The excitation frequency signal is an AC voltage (UW) of frequency corresponding to the mechanical resonance frequency of the flaps. Adjustment of the relation of flap swinging time to at rest time is achieved by pulse width modulation.
