Method of suppressing vibrations, especially on hydraulic clutch pedal of motor vehicle

The method involves connecting clutch pedal to a transmitting cylinder, and forms a vibrating system with it. A receiving cylinder is connected to the transmitting cylinder, via a hydraulic column. A low-frequency agitation is transmitted via the column, and propagates as a low-frequency pressure pulse. The pulse agitates an additional vibrator (20) in the hydraulic column, so that it vibrates at its resonant frequency. The latter is higher than the frequency of the pulse, so that the vibrator induces a pulse in the column at a higher frequency than the vibrating system can follow.
