Hand operated press with two press plates

The press incorporates two plates (1,2) which can be moved by levers (21,22) so that they pivot on a frame (3) and are moved towards one another. The levers are connected via a link (4) to an operating lever (5). A pivot point (10) on one of the levers can be swung by the operating lever in a clockwise direction while at the same time moving one of the press plates. The other press plate is moved by the operating lever in a counter clockwise direction so that any box (20) between the plates is squashed.
