The mounting consists of an outer support (1) to be connected to the engine, and an inner support (2) connected to the vehicle body. The two supports are linked by a block (5) of an elastic material, and joined by their respective ends, with the inner support completely enclosed by the block. The two supports are capable of relative movement so that they are located coaxially when not subjected to the engine's load but are offset axially when under load, allowing a degree of relative axial movement. The outer support consists of a cylindrical sleeve, while the inner one is a cylindrical core.
