PURPOSE:To prepare the low-pressure air pad for preventing decubitus effective for preventing a bedsore. CONSTITUTION:This air pad has first air cells 2 and second air cells 3 made of flexible sheets. A parting plane for parting the sheets to the first air cells 2 and the second air cells 3 and the first air cell 2 side sheet or the second air cell 3 side sheet are respectively alternately welded in a narrow range at every prescribed interval to form welded points 5a, 5b. Air is supplied from an air pump device via air feed pipes 6, 7 to the first air cells 2 and the second air cells 3 in such a manner that the air pressure does not exceed the blood flow hindering pressure of the peripheral capillaries. Fine pores 8 communicating with the inside of the second air cells 3 are formed at several points among the welded points 5a to eject the air at all times. Then, a patient is supported under the blood flow hindering pressure of the peripheral capillaries or below. The decubitus is synergistically prevented by ejecting the air at all times. |
