A rigid movable contact strip 25 is acted on by rocker 36 through the intermediary member 26 which is alternatively pivotable about one of two pairs of lateral projections 26a engaged in the bottoms of grooves (11a, Fig. 2, not shown) in the side walls of casing 11. Movement of rocker 36 clockwise from the position shown in Fig. 1, wherein strip 25 interconnects contacts 19 and 21, lifts a central rib 28 on member 26 off the strip 25 and depresses a rib 31 which causes strip 25 to pivot on contact 19 and to engage contact 18. Anticlockwise movement of rocker 36 correspondingly pivots strip 25 about contact 21 to engage contact 22. A second strip (24, Fig. 2, not shown) parallel to strip 25 is simultaneously pivoted by member 26 to co-operate with additional contacts (14 to 17, Fig. 3, not shown). A rib (13) upstanding from the base 12 of casing 11 separates the two sets of contacts and is accommodated in a slot (27) in the lower surface of member 26. Instead of rocker 36 a conventional lever may be provided.</p> |
