Use of an antioxydant and/or antiradical in a sunscreening cosmetic or dermatologic composition

Antioxidant and/or anti-radical agent, with no filtering properties for UVA, is used to confer, on a compsn. contg. in a medium suitable for topical application, a UVA filter, an index of protection (P) against UVA greater that of the filter alone. Compsn. contains 0.01-10 (pref. 0.1-5) wt.% of organic or pigment filter, esp. nano-pigment contg. Ti or Zn, or organic filter contg. opt. neutralised sulphonic gp. partic. sulpho or sulphonated deriv. of benzylidene camphor.
