The use of a fructan or its deriv. as a glue is claimed.Also claimed are: (1) a soln. or dispersion of 40-95 wt.% fructan (deriv.) in a polyol; and (2) prodn. of a soln. or dispersion suitable as an adhesive, comprising heating a mixt. of 10-99 wt.% fructan (deriv.) and 1-90 wt.% polyol and opt. additives at 80-160, pref. 110-140 deg C.
