The process comprises the following steps: with the use of a silicone band, coupling to the ceramic part to be inspected (7) two ultrasonic transducers, one being an emitter transducer and the other a receiver transducer; emitting ultrasonic waves and measuring their propagation velocity in the part (7); and determining the density through an algorithm which relates said density with the propagation velocity. For the implementation of said process, electronic means are used which comprise a ultrasonic signal receiver and emitter card (1), a card (2) for calculating the propagation times, and input/output card (4), a multiplexer/demultiplexer (5) and a central processing unit (3) which controls the whole system. |
