The invention concerns a marking agent to produce markings which will remain visible at high temperatures, in particular those encountered in welding. The marking agent includes at least one luminescent phosphor of the Lenard or Reinstoff type suitable for use at a temperature of at least 500 DEG C and which, when exposed to the radiation emitted by a high-temperature source, radiates a clearly visible emission in the 400-800 nm wavelegth region. In order to increase the visibility of the markings in spite of the effect of the high-temperature source, the invention calls for the marker to include preferably at least one so-called "daylight reflector".
|
