摘要 A process and device are disclosed for straightening metal parts, in particular sheet metal, sections and/or constructions made of sheet metal or sections. The flame of an indirect plasma arc is brought into contact with the surface of the part and kept at a distance over the surface of the part sufficient for the arc discharge gas column not to contact the surface of the part. The energy density in the nozzle of a plasmatron that receives the arc discharge gas column is set in a range from 0.3 to 1.5 kW/mm<2>. The total stretching energy in relation to the generated heat zone is previously set in a range from 0.3 to 2 MJ/m and the speed of the plasma gas flow is previously set in a range from 50 to 150 m/s in relation to the cold state of the nozzle of the indirectly poled plasmatron. Air or a gas mixture that contains hydrogen is used as plasma gas.
