A dummy or pacifier for a child or infant. The dummy 1 comprises a teat or mamillate protuberance 4 extending from a shield 2, and a housing 3 at the reverse side of the shield 2. The housing 3 contains an acoustic sensor 7 which is arranged to activate an electrical music generator 6 in the event that the child/infant begins to cry. The electrical music generator 6 may also be activated by manual button switch 5 located at the end of the housing 3. A tune selection switch 6A allows the user to select the tune to be played. The electrical music generator 6 may also be isolated from the replaceable power source 9 by way of pin switch 8. |
