A strip of nails for use with driver apparatus comprises nails (12) arranged with their shanks in parallel side-by-side relation with the head of each fastener .adjacent the head ofthe adjacent fastener, the shanks being secured to strips (1,8) of flexible plastics material. Each head (14) is arranged so that one edge thereof touches the shank (16) of the adjacent nail (12) and the`top surface of the head underlies a portion of the lower surface of the head of the adjacent nail. In forming the assemblage (10), the nails are coated with a material compatible with the material of the strips (18), two pairs of strips are positioned transversely across the shanks (16) on opposite sides thereof, pressure and heat are applied to the strips by dies (28a, 28b), Fig. 4 (not shown), to force the strips into contact with each other and into contact with the shanks 16. |
