摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the contrast between a printed part and a non-printed part large and to improve the visivility by making scattered light incident on a recording layer through a layer, through which a light beam having a specified nature is transmitted, and a layer, through which a light beam is transmitted by changing the nature of the passing light. SOLUTION: Only a prescribed linearly polarized light beam is transmitted through a polarizer plate 17 among scattered light beams incident on the linear polarizer plate 17 of a rewrite card 11. After the linearly polarized beam is made to become a circularly polarized beam in a quarter wavelength plate 16, it is made incident on a recording layer 15. The light beam incident on an unprinted part A is transmitted through the layer 15, reflected by a reflection layer 14, but the polarizing direction is shifted by 90 deg. from that of the linearly polarized beam at the time of incidence, the beam is not transmitted through the polarizer plate 17 and visualized to be black. On the other hand, a light beam incident on a printed part B is scattered by a cloudy organic low- molecular-weight material 19 of the reflecting material of the layer 15 and visualized to be white. Consequently, the contrast between the parts A and B becomes high.
