PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the layout of a rule frame whose size is changed for every character when the rule frame is produced in a document. SOLUTION: When the setting of a rule frame is instructed at a part of the document displayed at a sentence display part 4, a virtual rule frame is displayed at a virtual rule frame display pat 10. Then a vertical/horizontal cursor is operated against the virtual rule frame, and a virtual rule reduction/ extension part 9 changes the size of the virtual rule frame for every character of sentences in response to the operation of the cursor. When the virtual rule frame is set in a desired size, the decision of a rule frame is instructed by the operation of a return key. Thus a rule decision part 11 sets a rule frame at the position where the virtual rule frame is displayed. The layout of the rule frame can be confirmed before the rule frame is produced in the document, and furthermore the size of the rule frame is changed for every character. As a result, the equal spaces are secured between the rules and characters even when plural rule frames are produced. Thus the beautiful sentences are obtained. |
