PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to restore the function of a system rapidly after all the computers stop by restoring the data stored in individual specific disks onto a shared memory in a specific order. SOLUTION: After all the computers stop, a computer start-up section 15 referring to a computer start-up condition preserving section 4, determins whether the shared memory data should be restored in the order of a priority assigned to each computer, and then selects a computer and starts it up. A shared memory restoring section 14 restores storage files 51, 61 stored on specific disks 5, 6 of computers A, B by means of a shared memory saving section 13. When the computer start-up section 15 fails to start up a computer, it selects a next computer and starts it up again. By this method, a saving file on the memory shared by a plurality of computers has a fewer chances of destruction and therefore even after all the computers stop, the function of a system can be restored quickly. |
