PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize mold change without necessitating the rearranging of piping at the mold change and facilitate changing work by a constitution wherein the introductory port of a split mold and its interior are communicated with each other through an on-off valve so as to introduce a heating and cooling medium in the interior of the split mold. SOLUTION: In the split mold 50 of a movable platen 4, an introductory port 52, which engages with the opening 31 of the communicating tube 33 of a fixed platen 1 at mold closing, is provided so as to communicate the introductory port 52 with the interior of the split mold 50 through an on-off valve 56 in order to constitute to introduce a heating or cooling medium in the split mold 50. Thus, in cavities formed by mating a female member 40 with a male member 60, raw material beads are charged from charging nozzles so as to heat the raw material beads with steam in order to fuse the beads together through secondary foaming and then cool them, resulting in allowing to mold the desired expansion-molded article. Further, at mold opening, by evacuating a hollow clamber 61 by means of the vacuum absorption through a drain hose 63 under the state that the on-off valve is closed, the expansion-molded article can be attracted to the split mold 50. |
