PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent depression of a column for canvass during flooding without worsening containing ability, durability, and comfortability by fixing a plurality of columnar auxiliary air chambers in parallel to an advancing direction between columns for bow-form canvass. SOLUTION: A columnar auxiliary air chamber 5 is arranged in parallel to the advancing direction of a life raft K between columns 2 and 2 for canvass. One or more auxiliary air chambers 5 are arranged. This constitution prevents the occurrence of depression between the columns 2 and 2 for canvass occasioned by curve due to movement of water in an upper chamber 3 and a lower air chamber during flooding. The number of the auxiliary air chambers 5 may be one in case of a 15 or less passengers life raft but in a case of a 20 ore more passengers life raft, three or more auxiliary air chambers are desirable. The auxiliary air chamber 5 is formed in a cylindrical shape and size is differed with the number of passengers but a diameter of approximate 5-25cm is preferable. With diameter being 5cm or less, an effect against depression is reduced and 25cm or more exerts a sense of oppression on passengers.
|
