PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which a stable image can be formed without producing image defects such as fog and black spots for a long time. SOLUTION: A toner image is formed on an electrophotographic photoreceptor having an org. photosensitive layer on a conductive supporting body. The org. photosensitive layer contains spherical inorg. particles of >=5 Mohs' hardness in the outermost surface layer and has such film strength that when the film is scratched with a diamond needle having the top of 0.3mm radius under 200g vertical load, the depth of scratches is 0.1-1μm. Then the toner image is transferred to an image supporting body containing calcium carbonate particles having 0.1-3μm number average primary particle size. Or, a toner image is formed on an electrophotographic photoreceptor having an org. photosensitive layer on a conductive supporting body. The org. photosensitive layer contains spherical inorg. particles of >5 Mohs' hardness in the outermost surface layer and has such film strength that when the film is scratched with a diamond needle having the top of 0.3mm radius under 200g load, the depth of scratches is 0.1-1μm. Then the toner image transferred to a recycled paper image supporting body containing calcium carbonate.
