PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium having high color developing sensitivity, and excellent light resistance and heat resistance of a ground color. SOLUTION: The thermal recording medium comprises a thermal recording layer containing at least colorless or pale dye precursor and developer for color developing at the time of heating the precursor as main ingredients, and a protective layer provided on the recording layer, wherein as the precursor in the recording layer, 2,4-dimethyl-6-[4-dimethylamide)anilino]fluoran is contained, and in the protective layer, binder, water soluble ultraviolet absorbent, fluorescent dye and aluminum hydroxide are contained. |
