<p>PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for press forming of a glass capable of readily accurately setting an operation timing of a turntable or a pressing machine, shortening the time required for forming and reducing the defectives of the formed product. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus for press forming of a glass is obtained by connecting a turntable 10 having forming metallic molds 12 arranged at a prescribed interval on the same circumference to an output shaft of an indexing unit 19 in a driving part 11, intermittently rotating the turntable while keeping the turntable so as to repeat the stop and rotation, pressing the forming metallic molds 12 fed with a gob 24 with a pressing machine 2 and carrying out the forming and working. Since the operation start of the pressing machine 2 is controlled based on a signal from the first encoder 20 for outputting a rotational angle signal of the output shaft at this time, the stop of the turntable 10 at a prescribed position and angle can accurately be known from the output of the first encoder 20. The timing of operation start of the pressing machine 2 can simply and accurately be set based thereon.</p> |
