PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe and stable anti-aging skin preparation for external use by effectively scavenging hydroxy radical which participates in aging of skin and hydrogen peroxide as the precursor of the radical or inhibiting the production of the radical. SOLUTION: This skin preparation for external use is obtained by blending an extract of Paeonia Suffruticosa Andr. as a substance for scavenging hydrogen peroxide and blending one or two or more kinds of plants selected from HAMAMERISU (Hamamelis japonica Sieb. et Zucc., Hamamelis obtusata Makino, Hamamelis virginiana L), Quercus serasta Thunb., Quercus crispula Blume, Aesculus hippocastanum, L, Sanguisorba officinalis L. as a substance for scavenging hydroxy radical and/or a hydroxy radical scavenger comprising an extract component and/or a hydroxy radical production inhibitor comprising a metal chelate. |
