PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain a surfactant powder of high concentration in no need of spray drying which requires a large amount of energy by concentrating a mixed slurry of a specific fatty acid ester salt and soap. SOLUTION: (A) anα-sulfofatty alkyl ester salt, for example,α-sulfo-10-20C (un)saturated fatty acid 1-5C alkyl ester salt, and (B) soap, for example, an alkali or alkaline earth metal salt of 10-18C (un)saturated fatty acid are mixed at a ratio of 10/90-95/5, the mixed slurry is concentrated to <=15% water content. Then, the concentrate is cooled down to <=80 deg.C, then granulated according to the agitational granulation process. |
