PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dispersant having superior dispersing ability to an inorg. substance and an oily component by specifying the compsn. of polysaccharide and the ratio in the compsn. at the time of utilizing the polysaccharide produced by one variant strain belonging a Klebsiella oxytoca species. SOLUTION: This dispersant contains polysaccharide as an affective component, the polysaccharide consists of D-glucuronic acid, L-rhamnose, D-galactose and D-glucose and the molar ratio of D-glucuronic acid : L-rhamnose :D- galactose :D-glucose is (0.8-1.2):(2.4-3.6):(0.8-1.2):(0.8:1.2). The bonding manner of residues of the constituent saccharides of the polysaccharide and the molar ratio among them are shown by the formula. The mol.wt. of the polysaccharide measured by gel permeation chromatography is about 1×10<3> -10×10<6> . In the formula, Rha, Gal, Glc and GlcUA are residues of rhamnose, galactose, glucose and glucuronic acid, respectively, and numerals show the positions of glycoside bonds. |
