摘要 PURPOSE: To facilitate temp. control in each unit furnace and to improve thermal efficiency of a heating furnace by controlling flow rate of escaped exhaust gas, in the heating furnace providing plural heat regenerative type alternating combustion burner system unit furnaces. CONSTITUTION: At the time of heating a steel slab, etc., in the heating furnace 36 providing plural unit furnaces 37 having four pieces of the heat generative type alternating combustion burners 41a-41d to each, fuel and air are fed into two burners 41b, 41c in four burners and burnt and the exhaust gas already used to the heating is fed from the burners 41a, 41d during stopping to a heat storage chamber, and the heat is accumulated by heat exchange. Successively, the burners 41b, 41c are stopped and the fuel and the air preheated through the heat storage chamber are supplied into the burners 41a, 41d and burnt and the heat contained in this exhaust gas is accumulated in each heat storage chamber. In the heating system alternately repeating this method, the temp. in each unit furnace is controlled in a high accuracy by suitably controlling the flow rate of the escaped exhaust gas which does not pass through the heat storage chamber, and the pressure in the unit furnace 37 with a controller 40, and also, the thermal efficiency of the heating furnace is improved.
