PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric field easing tube used for a power cable terminus joint which can surely suppress the occurrence of partial discharge. SOLUTION: A semiconductor layer 12 is made or conductive paint is applied on the inner surface of the electric field relaxation tube 11 made of a high dielectric capable of expansion of diameter. And, the electric field tube 11 is set on the cable insulator so that the semiconductor layer 12 or semiconductive coating may contact with the semiconductor layer 3 of a power cable stripped in stairs and a cable insulator 4. Since the semiconductor later 13 is made or conductive paint is applied on the inner surface of the electric field relaxation tube 1, the close adhesion between the electric field relaxation tube made of a high dielectric and the stair-stripped part of the cable can be improved, and the occurrence of the partial discharge at the time of voltage application can be effectively suppressed, suppressing the occurrence of voids.
