PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air and other gases from being introduced into a mold cavity with monomer or a monomer mixture by installing a housing member which surrounds arranged curved mold members in front and behind and vacuum-sucks around the member. SOLUTION: During assembly operation, a piston 71 slides in a sleeve 180, and an O-ring 184 maintains vacuum sealing in this process. An O-ring 183, which is different from standard 0-182 due to its dynamic action, is selected exclusively for the piston which reciprocates in the sleeve. The allowance range of dimensional variation in each piston 71 in the production is absorbed by the O-ring 183 selected. The sleeve significantly increases the mutual operability of the piston 71 for a vacuum manifold housing 204 by eliminating the necessity of the individual adaptation between the piston and the opening in the housing member through which the piston reciprocates.
