PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crystalline polypropylene excellent in rigidity and heat resistance by bringing a solid component such as a metallic oxide into contact with an olefin in the presence of an organoaluminum compound and a specific organosilicon compound and polymerizlng propylene with the resultant catalyst component for polymerizing anα-olefin. SOLUTION: This crystalline polypropylene is obtained by bringing (A) a solid component consisting essentially of a metallic oxide, Mg, Ti, a halogen and an electron donative compound into contact with (D) an olefin in the presence of (B) an organoaluminum compound and (C) an organosilicon compound of formula I R<1> is a 5-7C alicyclic hydrocarbon; R<2> is 2-ethoxyethyl or 2- methyl-3-butyn-2-yl; (x) and (y) are each 1 or 2; [(x)+(y)] is 3}, providing a catalyst component for polymerizing anα-olefin and polymerizing propylene by using the resultant catalyst component. When the frequency at which the storage elastic modulus G' coincides with the loss elastic modulus G" isω0 and the elastic modulus at that time is G0 in dynamic melt rheological measurement, the crystalline polypropylene has theω0 , G0 and the heat of melting (ΔHm) obtained from the differential scanning calorimetry satisfying the relationship of formula II.
