PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a desired output to an output device by recognizing and adjusting the pixels which are proper to adjust the output appearance of a bit map image. SOLUTION: An input image signal is successively stored in a scanning line buffer 50 in the FIFO form. The image signal is converted into a 5-bit parallel vector and a one-bit center pixel signal by a conversion block 54. Converted data is supplied to a programmable logic array(PLA) 60, and the center pixel signal is outputted from the PLA 60 as it is. 5-bit parallel vector data is compared with templates in the PLA 60 to discriminate the pixel value related to the pixel position to be selectively adjusted. The PLA 60 generates a pixel code for the discriminated pixel position, and pulse width and position modulation signals are sent to a printer from a look up table(LUT) 74, based on this code. |
