PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte secondary battery whose quantity of retaining non-aqueous electrolytic solution is increased, by using a specific copolymer as polymer for retaining non-aqueous electrolytic solution. SOLUTION: A positive electrode 2 contains an active material, non-aqueous electrolytic solution, and polymer to retain the electrolytic solution, while a negative electrode 4 contains a carbonaceous material to occlude and release lithium ions, non-aqueous electrolytic solution, and polymer to hold it. A polymer electrolyte secondary battery concerned includes the positive and negative electrodes 2, 4 and a solid polymer electrolyte layer 5, which is interposed between them 2, 4 and contains non-aqueous electrolytic solution and polymer for retaining it. In this battery, at least one of the members of the positive and negative electrodes 2, 4 and the layer 5 uses as polymer described a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride(VdF)-hexafluoropropylene(HFP) synthesized by the emulsion method. |
