<p>Hot-press, H2O-resistant wood laminate adhesives consisting of a cationic latex of a copolymer of 90-94% (wt.) of vinylidene chloride (I), 6-10% of acrylonitrile (II) and 1-4% of a compound of the formula:- CH2=CZCOORNH2 in which R = 2-6C alkylene group and Z = H, halogen or a 1-4C alkyl group (2-aminoethyl acrylate hydrochloride (III)). Adhesives containing, on latex solids, up to 100% (wt.) of a finely-divided H2O-dispersible filler.</p> |
