PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a device capable of precisely controlling braking force according to brake operating force with a simple structure in a hydraulic brake device for vehicle which guides a hydraulic pressure generated by a high pressure source such as hydraulic pump to a wheel cylinder to generate a braking force. SOLUTION: A high pressure source passage 39 is connected to a variable capacity pump 34. A wheel cylinder passage 46 communicating with a wheel cylinder 16FL and a reservoir passage 50 allowing with a reservoir tank 48 are connected to the high pressure surface passage 39. A variable throttle 54 which operates with the master cylinder pressure as pilot pressure and throttles effective opening area more as the master cylinder becomes higher is provided in the middle of the reservoir passage 50.
