PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten cycle time to insert/hold a wire into/by a connector housing by cutting the wire in a prescribed length by press-connecting the wire from a wire feeder to a press-contact type contact. SOLUTION: A wire from a wire feeder is positioned on a press-contact type contact connectedly supplied from a contact feeder 22, and it is temporarily held. Simultaneously when the wire is press-connected to the press-contact type contact and is inserted into a connector housing from a housing feeder 24 by an inserting mechanism 28, the wire is cut in a desired length by a trimming mechanism 26. Therefore, a cycle time to manufacture a wire harness using the press-contact type contact can be shortened. |
