PURPOSE: To provide the television receiver provided with a teletext decoder which always obtains the most suitable teletext picture in accordance with the delay characteristic of an antenna transmission system. CONSTITUTION: A composite video signal to which a teletext decoder is added is successively inputted to plural filters 8 and 9 different by delay characteristics through a switch 7, and outputs or filters 8 and 9 are inputted to a teletext decoder 4 to take out error rate data. The filter whose error rate data is smallest out of these filters is selected by the switch 7 and is switched to the reception state. |
