PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of using toner whose average particle diameter is <=10μm without disturbance and capable of obtaining an extremely clear recorded image without density irregularity. SOLUTION: As to this developing device in which a plate-like member 45a having an electrode part 45b is set on a space where a developer carrier 41 is opposed to an image carrier 1, at least a DC voltage is impressed on the part 45b of the member 45a, a superposed voltage of a DC component and an AC component is impressed on the carrier 41, and a latent image on the carrier 1 is developed by scattering toner; straightness in the shaft direction of the developer carrier on the leading edge of the member 45a having the plural parts 45b is <=50μm. The straightness in the shaft direction of the developer carrier on a point where the member 45a having the parts 45b abuts on a supporting member supporting the member 45a is <=50μm. |
