PURPOSE: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device which can supply a stable control signal to a switching element. CONSTITUTION: A secondary winding n3 of a current transformer T1 is connected between gate/source of a switching element S2 having an input capacitor C3 between the gate/source. Further a capacitor C2 and an inductance element L3 are connected in parallel across the secondary winding n3 of the current transformer T1. A drive circuit of the switching element S2 is constituted by at least the current transformer T1, the capacitor C2, and the inductance element L3. A resonance current loop r1 is constituted of the input capacitor C3 and the inductance element L3 by arranging them so that they may be adjacent to each other. In this way, a discharge lamp lighting device, which can reduce noise caused by wiring and can supply a stable control signal to the switching element, is obtained. |
