PURPOSE: To generate and output a musical sound signal having characteristics corresponding to a special playing style by detecting the increase rate of the rise of the envelope of a string vibration signal and controlling and outputting the envelope of the musical sound signal according to the detected increase rate of the rise. CONSTITUTION: This device has a console switch part 4 which is connected to a guitar 3 which has six strings 2 and has various function switches arranged. A pickup 5 detects the vibrations of the respective strings 2 individually. A volume adjusting dial 20 increases or decreases the signal level from the pickup 5 according to its rotating operation. When a string vibration signal is inputted, the envelope of the string vibration signal is detected and the increase rate of the rise of the envelope is detected. Consequently, the musical sound signal is generated on the basis of the string vibration signal and the envelope of the musical sound signal is controlled according to the increase rate to output the musical sound signal having its envelope controlled. |
