PURPOSE: To provide a stator capable of effectively reducing leaking magnetic flux passing through a bridging portion without lowering the mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION: At a stator 10 of a motor, the wall thickness of a bridging portion 24 of a core sheet 12 in axis direction is thinner than other portions of the core sheet 12. Because of this, the thickness of the stator 10 at the bridging portion 24 becomes smaller than other portions of the stator 10, and an effective cross-sectional area at this portion is decreased, so that the magnetic resistance of this portion increases. Because of this, leaking magnetic flux flowing through the bridging portion 24 is reduced, and thus the effective magnetic flux effective for the operation of the motor can be increased effectively. Also, only the wall thickness of the bridging portion 24 is made smaller, and thus a sufficient mechanical strength can be secured. |
