PURPOSE: To improve operating efficiency and the efficiency in storage capacity and to prevent the occurrence of confusion so that the area of the typeface which is the same as the unintend standard typeface is retrieved by inhibiting the setting of a designated attribute when the designated attribute is the same as the standard attribute of the document information. CONSTITUTION: A designated typeface acquisition processing part 1 acquires the typeface that a user designates and a standard typeface acquisition processing part 3 acquires the standard typeface of the area designated by the user. A typeface comparison processing part 4 compares the acquired and designated calligraphic style and the standard typeface. A display typeface determination processing part 5 determines the typeface to be displayed on the designated area from this comparison result. Namely, when the designated typeface is different from the standard typeface, the designated typeface is set in the designated area. When the designated typeface in the same as the standard typeface, the existing typeface in the designated area is acquired, and if an existing changed typeface exists in this area, this style is released and is made into the standard typeface. When the existing changed typeface is not set in the designated area, any operation is unnecessitated. |
